丫丫肠？

啊仔！吃饱唔好乱乱跳,乱乱走啊！会生丫丫肠gah！！！

这句话，无论翻译成什么语言，
都是上一辈曾经对我们说的，可是为什么呢？
就让我来解释解释啦

丫丫肠，就是阑尾炎（appendicitis ）
那么，阑尾 （appendix） 在那里？

我们的Gastrointestinal Tract 无时无刻在蠕动（peristalsis）
而Stimulate它们蠕动的原因是我们吃下肚子的东西刺激那些receptors，
Peristalsis will "send" our digesting food along the small intestine, and finally, they reach the junction of Large and small intestine.
small intestine has 3 parts:
Duodenum
Jejunum
Ileum

After meal, food occupy our stomach and stimulate receptors on the stomach muscle, the muscle send out a lot of signals and 1 of them, stimulate a peristalsis of food in the Ileum into the large intestine, known as Gastroileal reflex. (从胃去Ileum 的 reflex = =)

Look at the diagram，the appendix located at where the food is push from small intestine to the large intestine. When u jump, run, bouncing around, the food will accidently drop inside the appendix and trapped inside. Millions of bacteria lives as normal flora in our GIT and this piece of food will draw them there and they happily start their party in the appendix. Words with suffix -itis means inflammation (发炎), so appendicitis occurs...
